KAAOS IN ECCENTRIS is an experimental improvisation-trio who build strange semi-electronic sound-sculptures that are at the same time chaotic and structured, whereas LIDDIKAOTIGHT, a project with KOUHEI MATSUNAGA and other Japanese freaks, in “telepathic collaboration” with LEIF ELGGREN, create a mind-explosive ambient-noise composition, & with lots of unexpected sound-effects over a hiss-loop. Extreme harsh noise / death industrial from Israel with a medical obsession. I can feel it, running through my veins. This obnoxious blackness. This everlasting torment. Kadaver is a project by Michael Zolotov from Israel. The sounds of Kadaver shifts from dark and twisted ambient through industrial till harsh noise and power electronics. This is a cancer. It's sickness. It's a warm streaming vomit of hatred towards life, humans and existence. It's the knife in your hand when nightmares twist your dreams. It's the emptiness that devours your meaningless being and bleed as tears of decay over it. (Mask of the slave)

Kallabris belongs to those mythical groups emerging from the mid 80s 'industrial' music. Over a time span of 14 years, they have released 2 LP's, 1 10'', 1 cassette and 2 7''. Kallabris come from the Cranioclast areas (who, even when a little bit more active, are likewise obscure), but operate within more acoustic music. Piano, accordion and voice play a role. These two tracks, linked by their title, are chamber music pieces to be played in a cafe. One side is like a slightly electronic treated version of the other. Introspective music, thoughful played. Kallabris are a myth to be cherished. ltd 250 (Genesungswerk)

The two live performances on this disc portray the sound of a microphone passing through antimatter - the haunting atmosphere of a slow drone, a glimpse of captured transmissions, the grinding crackle and crunch of a machine eating itself alive only to finally collapse in a sea of manipulated feedback ripe with wooden electronics running low on batteries.. recorded in '95 and '98, these two pieces both feature the line-up of Roel Meelkop, Peter Duimelinks & Frans de Waard.

Magnetic Digital Responses
CD
For a long time Kapotte Muziek wanted to do a release with music that ws generated from/with what is called feedback. Kapotte Muziek & Lethe Tsurumai
CD
Recorded in the industrial city of Nagoya, Japan, "Tsurumai" is an expansive album of rough electro-acoustic music. Starting from a few small clicks, the music steadily grows outward, uneasily shifting and expanding. Rude bumps interrupt narcotic drones, the telltale human hands of improvisation disappear into a mysterious group sound, acoustic and digital elements blur, vision fails, and time stops…

When Leslie Keffer lived in Athens, Ohio she was asked about the noise scene there. Youre looking at it, she responded. Indeed. Leslie is one of the more fascinating proponents of homegrown Middle American noise music. A single girl drawn to the more ravaged and magical aspects of noise as source music, art and lifestyle. She has since moved to Nashville where she has been developing and progressing her personal take on what is basically a highly marginal genre of music. (Ecstatic Peace)

As a veteran of the Massachusetts experimental music community and Minister of Fanfares for the Kingdom of Elgaland-Vargaland, Greg Kelley is well known in his capacity as a trumpeter, but for this release he shows his considerable merits as a composer of solo musique concrete. For this recording he takes as source material recordings from minidisc and microcassette made during a tour with Mike Bullock and edits them into a single 35+ minute composition. The results are unlike anything Kelley has done before: rigorous, methodical tape-collage, in turns pensive and aggressive, brittle and supple. The record becomes a revolving exploration of a set of atmospherics, rigidly set into a rusty frame of tape-hiss, fragments emerging from the dreams of a long convalescence.

Babel is an extremely dynamic and dense work that could generally be classified as experimental dark ambient. The theme here is the Tower of Babel and each disc takes a somewhat different yet complimentary approach: the first ("Red Babylon") is generally a rather heavy and intense recording, while the second ("Citadel of the Nevermind") is more droney and dream-like. A profound and monumental journey lasting well over two hours. (Diophantine discs)

A collection of collaborative trance-symphonies brought to life over the airwaves of Melbourne and Sydney on the recent Birchville, A.M, Esosteel tour of Australia. Late night drone-frazzle, reveling in the under-appreciated comforts of creased clothes, decadent breakfasts, and furry teeth. ‘Hiss Methodologies' represents a near-perfect meeting of minds... Richard brings the ssss-boom-clunk, Antony lowers the signal-to-noise ratio, Campbell brings the snooze-anticipation. Very special guest, Nathan ‘Sandoz' Thompson even chips in a little of his trademark angular peculiarities. It's a vast, red, featureless landscape baby.

The atmosphere was tense, the standard of entries, fearsome, and the result was a three way tie for last. Hermetic acousti-skronk recorded the night after seeing Toshimaru Nakamura perform and accordingly, every minute shuffle of clothing seems to take on Borbetomagian proportions. Quiet, deeply nocturnal, uncompromisingly engaging.

Kryptogen Rundfunk + Hladna Rokton + Formanta
3"CD
Hladna and Kryptogen Rundfunk - behind these names stand two St. Petersburg-based musicians playing experimental noise music. They both nourish a tender passion for old electronic instruments and often use them at their concerts and on recordings. One warm sunny day they gathered and decided to play on two analogue rhythm synthesizers "Rokton" and "Formanta". These are actually two identical instruments which were produced in the Soviet Union by two different factories. Each of them is the "brain" for electronic drum-kit, but can also be used separately - as a multi-channel tone-noise-generator or rhytm-machine. Kryptogen Rundfunk used his device smoothly, evenly and calmly while Hladna expelled from his more sharp and unpredictable sounds. Worth mentioning are Hladna's non-standard ways of making sound - on the last two tracks he opened the back plate of his synth and played not only using knobs but also getting inside and abridging contacts with his own hands (for which he was incidentally struck by the current a couple of times). Live recording without any processing, with all it's natural crackles and tasty overloads. Abstract electronics, minimalism and a little noise. (Zhelezobeton)

Igor Krutogolov, Israeli composer and musician, participates in a large amount of musical projects, such as collaborations with 'Chaos as Shelter', 'Bastard Noise', 'Agnivolok', 'Tidal', 'Crossfishes', 'NJD' and others. 'Muzika Elektronica' is clearly noise orientated and built using an instrumentarium of drums, washing machine, bass (with cello bow), drum machine and voices. Loud eruptions of distorted sounds with an incredible detailed structure leave just the right amount of breathing room in the form of slow bass driven beats and quiet, melodical passages.
