Target to Nowhere
CDR
Recorded in 2003, 'Target To Nowhere' is nothing short of K2's dizzying cascade of junk metal manipulation and electronic elegance, contorted into grim chaos for the opening track before returning to the tighly edited, constantly re-inventive pincer-strike that this project is renowned for, with the two remaining studio tracks. Also includes a lengthy, barraging live track with the same elements melted and malleted while on the front line. (Cipher Productions)
$12

K2 + Mr. Natural
assorted scrapes

K2's side is a nice mixture of metallic scraping sounds, and metallic pounding. Mr. Natural's side is a nice mixture of organic droneing and scraping that provide a nice subdued contrast to K2's frenzy.

KA
Water Mertz
CD
Ka is the trio of Tore H Boe, Kai S Mikalsen, and Kjell Braathen, all members of the Origami Republik. Here they present one 45 minute long track that was originally created for the H20 mail art exhibition in Oslo, Norway in 1999. Using field recordings of water and ocean sounds to create a liquid, and drifting sea-scape of sound (cipher productions)
$12

Kaaos in Eccentrist / Liddikoatight & Leif Elggren
SPLIT
7"
KAAOS IN ECCENTRIS is an experimental improvisation-trio who build strange semi-electronic sound-sculptures that are at the same time chaotic and structured, whereas LIDDIKAOTIGHT, a project with KOUHEI MATSUNAGA and other Japanese freaks, in “telepathic collaboration” with LEIF ELGGREN, create a mind-explosive ambient-noise composition, & with lots of unexpected sound-effects over a hiss-loop. (Some place else)
$ 6

KADAVER
Infected with feelings
CD
Extreme harsh noise / death industrial from Israel with a medical obsession. I can feel it, running through my veins. This obnoxious blackness. This everlasting torment. My heart-shaped pump is beating with disgust. Spreading the blood red poison through my corpse. The fresh air burns my lungs. Love has devoured my soul. Nothing will be the same from now. (The eastern front)
$12
Necro pleasures
CD
Cold, necro sounds from Israel. Features 9 tracks of butchered audio and sonic abuse. ltd. 100 (Assassinmonk)
$ 6
God has left the building
CD
Kadaver is a project by Michael Zolotov from Israel. The sounds of Kadaver shifts from dark and twisted ambient through industrial till harsh noise and power electronics. This is a cancer. It's sickness. It's a warm streaming vomit of hatred towards life, humans and existence. It's the knife in your hand when nightmares twist your dreams. It's the emptiness that devours your meaningless being and bleed as tears of decay over it. (Mask of the slave)
$10

Fast paced dynamic walls combined with physical junk metal clatter from MD. Dense harsh noise that gets straight to the point. (Trash Ritual)
$ 7

KALLABRIS
Consideration sur le cafe
7"
Kallabris belongs to those mythical groups emerging from the mid 80s 'industrial' music. Over a time span of 14 years, they have released 2 LP's, 1 10'', 1 cassette and 2 7''. Kallabris come from the Cranioclast areas (who, even when a little bit more active, are likewise obscure), but operate within more acoustic music. Piano, accordion and voice play a role. These two tracks, linked by their title, are chamber music pieces to be played in a cafe. One side is like a slightly electronic treated version of the other. Introspective music, thoughful played. Kallabris are a myth to be cherished. ltd 250 (Genesungswerk)
$6
Shanghai Dortmund
LP
Kallabris is one of the more obscure bands from the mid-80's that continues to operate far outside any scene or hype. Here is presented a pair of mysterious Shantys with Lush Accordian and cinematic atmospheres. For people who like a little experementation with there music. Those who like to play it safe, and only buy stuff that sounds like 99% of the rest of there collection should stay away. (Genesungswerk)
$15
Hund vor die Tur
LP
"The significance of dogs is something which struck me a long time ago. If one compares Mark Twain’s A Dog’s Tale with Willard Van Orman Quine’s Two Dogmas of Empiricism, for example, one finds that Twain’s account of the narrator’s mother (who is a collie) is much more knowing than Quine’s account of the meaning of a tail. Experience tells us that it might be best to acknowledge that certain tails don’t have a meaning at all. This is especially true if one thinks of certain dogs and their resemblance to applied mathematics. One does not have to consult Crelle’s Journal to understand that their tails — whether pure or slightly grubby — can’t possibly move them. It’s always the dog that moves the tail — never the other way round.” (Entr'acte)
$15
Off Mind
3" CD
Kallabris’ scientific research has always been outstanding: their North Pole expedition, the chemistry of change that can be experienced in mocha, the ondadynamical theory as a clue for the explanation of mental phenomena — just to mention a few, well-known highlights. This time, they go for the core of it all: epistemology covered with ontological speculations. The Apologia gives a rough, yet charmingly delivered sketch of the project — impressions and reflections performed with an impressing beat. The Corpus Maior is a dance of condensed thought, a playful and enchanted rhythm that cheerfully leads to the Epilogus which, with its skeptical melancholy, makes plainly obvious how little is done when the answers are given. A tribute to quest, but in no means to discovery. (Entr'acte)
$10

KAM HASSAH
This Forest
1 sided LP
What Kam Hassah do with "this forest" is to move perfectly a dense stratas of sounds in a hypnagocic way, the rotary slow motion of drones, the layers of reverbarted voices, will bring you down under the moaning branches of this gloomy forest of sounds. A spiral implosion will show you the dark side of your soul where no light can shine and then... under again, in the viscous undergrowth where the beasts crawl. One track of pure bleak catharsis. ltd. 100 (Dokuro)
$18

KAPOTTE MUZIEK

$ 12
Praag/Rotterdam
CD
The two live performances on this disc portray the sound of a microphone passing through antimatter - the haunting atmosphere of a slow drone, a glimpse of captured transmissions, the grinding crackle and crunch of a machine eating itself alive only to finally collapse in a sea of manipulated feedback ripe with wooden electronics running low on batteries.. recorded in '95 and '98, these two pieces both feature the line-up of Roel Meelkop, Peter Duimelinks & Frans de Waard.
$ 8
Kapotte Muziek by Troum

$ 7
Magnetic Digital Responses
CD
For a long time Kapotte Muziek wanted to do a release with music that ws generated from/with what is called feedback. This particular release is not the feedback album, but another similar attempt to create pure sounds created with feedback, in association with contact microphones and Korg MS-20. ltd. 96 (Xerxes)
$12
Kapotte Muziek & Lethe
Tsurumai

CD
Recorded in the industrial city of Nagoya, Japan, "Tsurumai" is an expansive album of rough electro-acoustic music. Starting from a few small clicks, the music steadily grows outward, uneasily shifting and expanding. Rude bumps interrupt narcotic drones, the telltale human hands of improvisation disappear into a mysterious group sound, acoustic and digital elements blur, vision fails, and time stops…
$12
Kapotte Muziek / Licht-ung
10"
Second in a series of split 10"s released by the German sound project/Label Licht-ung. Kapotte Muziek's side is a nice mixture of both quite, and noisy sounds while LIcht-ung's side is heavy droneing tones. ltd. 276 (Licht-ung)
$16

KARASYOZOKU

Zbigniew karkowski / Antimatter
Khz
CD
The second collaboration by Karkowski and Xopher Davidson (Antimatter) is a masterful work that rewards any patient listener with slowly unfolding layers of analog hum and buzz intermingled with shifting electronic pulses and waves over a layer of deep enveloping drones. (auscultare)
$12

KARLHEINZ
Fucking
Picture LP
Harsh Fucking Noise. This is not an act of love. This has nothing to do with pride. It is not beautiful. It is not empowering. It doesn't make you better. It doesn't make you stronger. It's not rebellious or shocking or dangerous. It's not even sick. It's just ugly. And it will always be ugly.

LESLIE KEFFER
Feels like Frenching
LP
When Leslie Keffer lived in Athens, Ohio she was asked about the noise scene there. Youre looking at it, she responded. Indeed. Leslie is one of the more fascinating proponents of homegrown Middle American noise music. A single girl drawn to the more ravaged and magical aspects of noise as source music, art and lifestyle. She has since moved to Nashville where she has been developing and progressing her personal take on what is basically a highly marginal genre of music. (Ecstatic Peace)
$12

GREG KELLEY
I don't want to live forever
CD
As a veteran of the Massachusetts experimental music community and Minister of Fanfares for the Kingdom of Elgaland-Vargaland, Greg Kelley is well known in his capacity as a trumpeter, but for this release he shows his considerable merits as a composer of solo musique concrete. For this recording he takes as source material recordings from minidisc and microcassette made during a tour with Mike Bullock and edits them into a single 35+ minute composition. The results are unlike anything Kelley has done before: rigorous, methodical tape-collage, in turns pensive and aggressive, brittle and supple. The record becomes a revolving exploration of a set of atmospherics, rigidly set into a rusty frame of tape-hiss, fragments emerging from the dreams of a long convalescence.
$10
GREG KELLEY, TATSUYA NAKATANI, CURT NEWTON
Field Recordings Volume 1

Compact Disc
Music for trumpet, percusion, audience, and television.
$ 12

KEVIN SHIELDS
False Prophet
LP
Delivering hope where there is none. Using your dreams to manipulate what you hear. Is Kevin Shields what you were expecting? Who are you to say what fate is? Are you the prophet? Is every single inflated ego in indie rock a prophet? Or is it 3 ladies that destroy everything in their path, leaving a metallic void in their wake. Featuring Eva Aguila (Gang Wizard), Amy Vecchione (Yuma Nora), & Grace Lee (Foot Village / Rose For Bohdan). (RRR / Entropic Tarot / Deathbombarc)

Beyond the valley of the tapes
2xCD

Remastered from the original tapes, Beyond the Valley... presents over 140 minutes of rare brutality (Ninth Circle / Troniks)

kirchenkampf' is the work of John Gore (Cohort Records, >wirewall<, The Oratory Of Divine Love) and has existed since 1986. With his 6th and latest CD, "Transmissions," he presents us six tracks (over 50 minutes) of stunning experimental dark ambient soundscapes.
$ 8
Babel
2xCD
Babel is an extremely dynamic and dense work that could generally be classified as experimental dark ambient. The theme here is the Tower of Babel and each disc takes a somewhat different yet complimentary approach: the first ("Red Babylon") is generally a rather heavy and intense recording, while the second ("Citadel of the Nevermind") is more droney and dream-like. A profound and monumental journey lasting well over two hours. (Diophantine discs)
$15

CORDELL KLIER

CD

$10
Chosen Powerless
CD
full-length album from death industrial recluse Ryan Oppermann, perhaps best known for his work as REDROT and NEUNTÖTER DER PLAGE. Building upon the dismal, minimal sound of previous works and moving into far more elaborate territory, CHOSEN POWERLESS marks a major step forward for the project. Over the course of five tracks of extended length, intricate layers of analogue synthesizers and corroded electronics dissolve into each other, giving way to vague melodies and sickly pulsations. Slow moving, yet constantly active, these are obsessive compositions of high-fidelity and extreme detail. Through a decisive combination of unsettling textures, suffocating mid-range ambience, and absolutely mind-numbing low-end, CHOSEN POWERLESS submerges the listener in a claustrophobic experience of deep psychosis and the attempt to medicate. Is the objective to reintegrate, or to assimilate? (Expecotrant Recordings)
$12

KLOOD

CAMPBELL KNEALE
Kneale.Kneale.Kneale
Myriapod

CD
There's nothing quite like a wig out in Dads shed after a delightful family meal listening to a nice Hijokaidan album. Am I bringing my kids up wrong? Perhaps I should have sent them to work at the coalmine when I had the chance? The latest 'beautiful family time' named after Caspars latest insect preoccupation. Over-amplified exoskeletons roar in fury as they are crushed under gigantic sneakers. Wild.
$16

Kryptogen Rundfunk + Hladna
Rokton + Formanta

3"CD
Hladna and Kryptogen Rundfunk - behind these names stand two St. Petersburg-based musicians playing experimental noise music. They both nourish a tender passion for old electronic instruments and often use them at their concerts and on recordings. One warm sunny day they gathered and decided to play on two analogue rhythm synthesizers "Rokton" and "Formanta". These are actually two identical instruments which were produced in the Soviet Union by two different factories. Each of them is the "brain" for electronic drum-kit, but can also be used separately - as a multi-channel tone-noise-generator or rhytm-machine. Kryptogen Rundfunk used his device smoothly, evenly and calmly while Hladna expelled from his more sharp and unpredictable sounds. Worth mentioning are Hladna's non-standard ways of making sound - on the last two tracks he opened the back plate of his synth and played not only using knobs but also getting inside and abridging contacts with his own hands (for which he was incidentally struck by the current a couple of times). Live recording without any processing, with all it's natural crackles and tasty overloads. Abstract electronics, minimalism and a little noise. (Zhelezobeton)

Muzika Elektronika
CD
Igor Krutogolov, Israeli composer and musician, participates in a large amount of musical projects, such as collaborations with 'Chaos as Shelter', 'Bastard Noise', 'Agnivolok', 'Tidal', 'Crossfishes', 'NJD' and others. 'Muzika Elektronica' is clearly noise orientated and built using an instrumentarium of drums, washing machine, bass (with cello bow), drum machine and voices. Loud eruptions of distorted sounds with an incredible detailed structure leave just the right amount of breathing room in the form of slow bass driven beats and quiet, melodical passages. (The eastern front)
